With the AAU Circuit well underway, our Alamo City Hoops staff gives you a quick update on some of the Greater San Antonio area recruits and which offers or interest they’re getting.

Clevon Brown 6’8″ PF (Churchill HS & SABO Gold)
Continues to show he’s an elite defender. Impacts the game with his length and athleticism down low. If anything is near him, good chances it will be swatted. Quick leaping ability which allows him to clean the glass. Is now up to 7 offers: Rice, UTSA, Cal-Poly, Tulsa, UTEP, Houston and UTA. Is our top prospect for the Greater SA area in 2016.

Ellis Jefferson 6’0″ PG (Brandeis HS & Texas D1-Ambassadors)
The area’s top point guard for ’16 now has 2 offers, Central Arkansas and Central Michigan. Heavy interest from the local program UTSA.

Brandon Armstrong 6’5″ SG/SF (Brackenridge HS & Next Level Raiders)
Athletic wing who can shoot it or be a slasher. Went for 53 points at the San Antonio GASO, still waiting on his first offer, but is getting a lot of interest from:  Texas State, Oklahoma, Cal-Poly, Northeastern, North Texas, Tulsa, Louisiana Lafayette.

Zac Saddler 6’5″ SF (New Braunfels HS & Team Texas Elite)
Solidly built wing who has started to open eyes on the circuit. Area programs have been asking about the New Braunfels standout. Appalachian State, Weber State, Colgate, SFA, Texas State, UTSA, and UIW have all shown interest.

LeSean Brown 6’1″ PG/SG (TMI & SABO Gold)
Is having a good spring, showing he has the skills and handles to run the point, with a consistent shot from mid range and beyond the arc. Has landed 2 offers: Air Force and St. Francis (PA), with interest from Army, Abilene Christian, Montana State, Dartmoth, Brown, and Colgate.

Tristan Clark 6’8″ PF/C (Judson & Nike Pro Skills)
Long, defensive minded big who is still growing. Only a junior and has shown to be a game changer down low, more so on defense. Is working on polishing his offensive skills, but the 2017 prospect is already up to 4 offers: UTEP, Creighton, UIW, and Rice.

Greg Bowie 6’1″ PG/SG (Johnson HS & Nike Pro Skills)
UTEP offered the guard back in April. Has the shot and athleticism to paly the two guard, but just a bit undersized. As a point guard, will have to make sure his ball handling ability is top notch.

Demarcus Hartfield 6’2″ SG (Athlos Leadership Academy & SA Hustlers)
No known offers for the athletic two guard, but he’s opened some eyes on the circuit this spring with his ability to hit the 3-ball and attack the hoop. Has good handles, and shows a quick step when putting the ball on the floor. We did confirm that he has withdrawn from TMI and is now planning to enroll at Athlos Leadership Academy.
